3. Perform a visual inspection of the belt. If it is
showing signs of wear, such as cracking or
fraying, it needs to be replaced.

1. Remove the outside frame guard and motor
cover (Figure 3-298 and 3-299).
2. Loosen the four gearbox mounting screws.
3. Remove the idler pulley by loosening the
socket head cap screw indicated in Figure 3-
