C. Transfer charger output check
1) Transfer charger current adjustment

Remove the developing unit, the transfer/separation charger unit,
and the main charger unit from the copier.

Remove the process unit from the copier.
When removing (attaching) the process unit from (to) the copier,
do not hold the toner transport pipe.

Remove the photoconductor drum from the process unit, and at-
tach the electrode sheet by using rubber ring and tape.

Attach the photoconductor drum with the electrode sheet attached
to it to the process unit.

Attach the process unit to the copier. (Attach so that the electrode
sheet lead wire extends from the developing unit side.)

Clean the transfer charger wire, and attach the transfer/separation
charger unit to the copier.
(Do not install the main charger unit.)
7
Connect the electrode sheet and the digital multi meter (or an
ammeter). Manually turn on the door switch.
(Note) Check that the black clip is firmly grounded to the chassis.
When the UKOGE0043CS01 is used:
Control 1: Set to "2" of DCmA.
Red clip: Connect to

When a DC ammeter is used:
Red clip: Connect to

Transfer charger output current check and adjustment
a. Turn on the main switch and execute simulation 8-02. (MTHV
is turned on for 30 sec.)
b. Adjust VR102 (MTHV output adjustment control) so that the
output current of MTHV is –41
