USING THE EXTRA KEY

29

ENGLISH

The

EXTRA

key has six functions.

1. CLOCK

4. ALARM

2. CHILD LOCK

5. SOUND

3. CONTRAST

6. LANGUAGE

To use any function, press the

EXTRA

key, touch the desired function and follow the directions on the screen.

1. CLOCK

• Press the

EXTRA

key, touch

CLOCK

and follow the directions on the screen. See page 10.

2. CHILD LOCK

• The Child Lock prevents unwanted oven operation such as by small children. The oven can be set so that

the control panel is deactivated.

3. CONTRAST

• Normally there is no need to change the display contrast; however, should you wish to do so, touch

LIGHTER

or

DARKER

until the contrast is as desired, then press the

START/+1min

key.

• Be cautious when touching

LIGHTER

so that the display is always readable.

• The selected contrast will not change even if the electrical power supply is interrupted.

4. ALARM

• By following the instructions on the screen, the oven can be set to have an audible signal at a future time.
• When the Alarm is set, an alarm clock indicator is visible on the Home Page.
• The alarm will continue to sound for 1 hour after the designated time or until

ALARM OFF

is touched.

• To cancel the alarm, press the

EXTRA

key, touch

ALARM

and follow the directions.

• Even if all the sound is off, the oven will beep at the designated time.

5. SOUND

• The oven offers a choice of Simple Beep , Melody, or No Sound .
• The oven comes set for Melody.
• Touch your choice on the screen and then press the

START/+1min

key.

• The selected sound does not change even if the electrical power supply is interrupted.
• Note that even when No Sound is chosen, there will be a sound for the Timer and Alarm, if it was set.

Reminder Function:

• An audible signal reminds you that cooking, defrosting or heating has finished.
• The sound will repeat every 60 seconds and continue for 30 minutes unless you press the

STOP

key or

open the door.

• To set the Reminder, touch

ON

on the REMINDER FUNCTION screen. If you do not need the Reminder,

touch

OFF

.

• The selected setting will not change even if the electrical power supply is interrupted.

6. LANGUAGE

• Your oven has 3 languages, German, Dutch and French and the oven requires you to select the language

for the first use.

• To change the selected language, touch

LANGUAGE

and then the desired language on the screen.

Press the

START/+1min

key to confirm your choice.

• The selected language will not change even if the electrical power supply is interrupted.
