Enter a full telephone number (up to 30 digits)
of a receiving unit.
IMPORTANT NOTE: INCLUDE AREA CODE IF
NUMBER IS OUTSIDE CALLING AREA OF RE-
LAY UNIT ALSO INCLUDE ACCESS CODE (e.g.
“1”) BEFORE AREA CODE WHERE NECESSARY.
If a full telephone number is not used, go to
next step.
Press the START/COPY key.
Return to step 10 to enter another full
telephone number, or go to next step.
Press the START/COPY key again.
Machine returns to STAND-BY mode.
2. Clearing the Relay Group Task

Select the relay program clear mode.
Press the START/COPY key.
Machine returns to STAND-BY mode.
3. Using Relay Request
Use this procedure to send documents to one or more remote machines through
an intermediate relay machine.
NOTES:
l
To use the Relay Request function, it is necessary to first program the Relay
Task Group.
l
The number of pages that can be sent in a Relay Request is dependent upon
the available memory space in the relay machine.
(Max. of 40 average pages with the FO-3200 and 70 average pages with the
FO-800-140 pages with an FO-800 that has the optional double memory ca-
pacity.)
l
To use Relay Request with a particular relay machine, your Remote Terminal
Identification (RTI) must be entered into the Relay
List of the relay
machine. Advise remote operator of relay machine.
l
If relay request is unsuccessful, check Transaction and/or Activity Report for
note on cause.

Relay Request can also be set for a later time (see “Timer Relay Request’:
p. 87).
