Basic Connection
You will not be able to hear all of the sound being output by the Unit if you use the supplied VIDEO/AUDIO
cable to a monaural TV that has only one AUDIO input jack.
•
Make sure that colours of the jacks and plugs match up when connecting the cable.
•
Connect the Unit directly to the TV. If you attempt to view video on a TV connected via a VCR, the copy protection
function will scramble the picture.
•
If you want to listen to the audio through audio equipment, connect only the VIDEO cable to the TV.

). By connecting these
input jacks to the corresponding output
jacks on the Unit, you can enjoy higher
quality playback images.
If you are using a TV or monitor equipped
with Y, C
B
and C
R
jacks, use these jacks
rather than the S-VIDEO OUT jack. If you
are using the Y, C
B
and C
R
jacks, set the
OUTPUT SELECTOR switch to
COMPONENT.
