Upgrading the firmware
The firmware currently installed on the fixture can be identified in various ways, through RDM (see “POI Permanent Outdoor
Installation” on page
24)
or:

When powering on the fixture, the display will show the currently installed firmware.

Go to the MENU
→
INFO
→
FIRMWARE VERSION.
To perform firmware updates, use a Windows-based personal computer, the SGM Firmware Tool software (available on the
SGM website,
www.sgmlight.com
) and a SGM USB 5-Pin-XLR upload cable (available from your SGM dealer).
Additionally, the Firmware Tool software offers a simple DMX controller featuring 512 DMX channels for test purposes.
We recommend to keep the fixture’s firmware up-to-date. Visit

to download the latest firmware.
