I cannot locate my computer hotkeys.
Each laptop should have hotkeys. Windows 7
has a default of the “Windows key” and “P”. The
most common hotkeys for the VGA connection
are F4, F5, and F8. Otherwise, check in your
computer user manual or contact your computer
manufacturer to locate them.
There are no icons or start menu on the TV.
This is a mode of your computer known as
extended mode. Your computer is treating the
TV as a second screen allowing you to run
separate programs on the TV and computer
screen. You can drag Windows to the right of
your main screen and they will appear on the TV
screen. Otherwise, go to the screen settings,
click on the box with the number 2, uncheck
“Extend desktop”, click apply, and then follow the
output video section.
