7.1.3 Bus-specific LEDs for DeviceNet
This section describes the bus-specific LEDs for DeviceNet. In the following figure, the
LEDs are shown as dark:
"Mod/Net" LED The function of the "Mod/Net" LED described in the following table is specified in the
DeviceNet specification.

has been established.
• DUP-MAC check performed success-
fully
• A connection to a master has not yet
been established.
• Missing (incorrect) or incomplete
configuration
• Include the station in the
master's scan list and start
communication in the
master.

and connected • Unit is online.
• Connection is active (established
state).

cycle) Minor fault or
connection
timeout • A correctable fault has occurred.
• Polled I/O and/or bit-strobe I/O connec-
tions are in the timeout status.
• A correctable fault has occurred in the
unit.
• Check the DeviceNet
cable.
• Check the timeout
response (P831). If a
response with fault is set,
reset the unit once the
fault has been corrected.
Red Critical fault or
critical link
failure • A fault that cannot be corrected has
occurred.
• Bus off status
• DUP-MAC check has detected a fault.
• Check the DeviceNet
cable.
• Check the slave address
(MAC ID). Is another unit
already using the same
address?
