7 Cleaning the oven
WARNING!
Danger of burns
– Before any cleaning work: switch the oven OFF
, remove the plug from the wall socket and
allow the oven and its components to cool down
completely (at least 30 minutes).
WARNING!
Risk of personal injury and damage to the oven
– Never immerse the oven in water.
– Do not use a steam cleaner on the oven.
WARNING!
Health risks due to unsuitable cleaning agents.
– Only food-grade cleaning agents should be
used for cleaning individual components that
come into contact with food.
CAUTION!
Do not use abrasives, harsh cleaning solutions or
tools that might cause surface scratches.
7.1 After use
The oven and all accessory parts should be cleaned after each cycle of use:
WARNING!
Fire hazard! Food residues in the interior, and
especially on the heating elements, become very
hot when the oven is next used, and may even
catch
fi
re.
– Keep the interior and heating elements clean at
all times.
1. Any remaining food residues or spilt liquid on the interior surfaces or
heating elements can be removed with a damp cloth. Baked-on spatter
can be soaked in water
fi
rst to aid removal.
2. The rack and tray are cleaned as follows:
• First, remove any food residues with a damp cloth.
• Clean the components under running water using a mild detergent,
or in a dish-washer.
3. Clean the crumb tray.
• Remove the tray from the oven.
• First, use a dry cloth to remove any large fat residues.
• Clean the tray under running water using a mild detergent, or in a
dish-washer.
4. Clean the inside of the oven window with a damp cloth.
5. After cleaning, wipe all components and the oven itself thoroughly dry
with a dishtowel.
