Battery operation / dimming feature
The ALDEBARAN
®
4000A X SERIES can be switched
on or off via the rotary switch on the side cap. The
switching is noticeable through the „clicking“.
The desired brightness is to be adjusted via the scale
at the potentiometer by turning. The adjustment
takes place steplessly.
3. Charger
The charger is equipped with an optical display
(integrated LED). With the LED integrated into the
housing, the following states are displayed:
LED
Mode
Red (permanent)
Battery initiation and charging
Green (permanent)
Battery is charged / Trickle charge
4.
Battery Lifetime
By charging and discharging, the battery perfor-
mance decreases. If the light duration of the lamp
has considerably shortened, a battery replacement is
recommended.
5.
„Low Battery Message System“
Early detection of low battery capacity by „Low Bat-
tery Message System“ (LBMS). The red indicator LED
(behind the front panel at the top of the light) starts
flashing at a low remaining capacity. From this point,
the light should be recharged.
6.
„Take me Home“ Function
The Integrated „Take Me Home“ function allows you
to find the light in the dark. With an empty battery,
the light switches from the LBMS function to the
„Take Me Home“ function. The flashing red light will
allow you to find the lamp in the dark. To protect the
battery and prevent deep discharge, the lamp should
not stay too long in the „Take me Home“ mode and
turned off by turning the potentiometer to zero (turn
till click) and recharge the lamp.
2. Charging
INFORMATION!
Turn the luminaire off while charging, otherwise
the quick charge is interrupted.
WARNING!

INFORMATION!
The luminaire should be charged when the bright-
ness noticeably decreases or the red indicator LED
(behind the front panel at the top of the light)
starts flashing. Otherwise, the batteries may be
damaged due to deep discharge.
