KVM over IP Module
80 / 99
Serial line speed
The speed the IP-KVM is communicating with the modem. Most of all modems
available today will support the default value of 115200 bps. In case you are using an
old modem and discovering problems try to lower this speed.
Modem Init String
The initialization string used by the IP-KVM to initialize the modem. The default
value will work with all modern standard modems directly connected to a telephone
line. In case you have a special modem or the modem is connected to a local telephone
switch that requires a special dial sequence in order to establish a connection to the
public telephone network, you can change this setting by giving a new string. Refer to
the modem's manual about the AT command syntax.
Modem server IP address
This IP address will be assigned to the IP-KVM itself during the PPP handshake.
Since it is a point-to-point IP connection virtually every IP address is possible but you
must make sure, it is not interfering with the IP settings of the IP-KVM and your
console computer. The default value will work in most cases.
Modem client IP address
This IP address will be assigned to your console computer during the PPP handshake.
Since it is a point-to-point IP connection virtually every IP address is possible but you
must make sure, it is not interfering with the IP settings of the IP-KVM and your
console computer. The default value will work in most cases.
Passthrough access to serial port via Telnet
Using this option, it is possible to connect an arbitrary device to the serial port and access
it (assuming it provides terminal support) via Telnet. Select the appropriate options for the
serial port and use the Telnet Console, or a standard Telnet client to connect to the
IP-KVM.
IP-Power (Power Control Settings)
For controlling Serial Power Controller.
