10-8 System Commands
10.7
WB,WD,WF,WH
Write Hysteresis value for
Open-collector Limits
RB,RD,RF,RH
Read Hysteresis value for
Open-collector Limits
SYNOPSIS
WB
{value} - Change Hysteresis value for limit 1 to {value}
WD
{value} - Change Hysteresis value for limit 2 to {value}
WF
{value} - Change Hysteresis value for limit 3 to {value}
WH
{value} - Change Hysteresis value for limit 4 to {value}
RB
- Read Hysteresis value for limit 1
RD
- Read Hysteresis value for limit 2
RF
- Read Hysteresis value for limit 3
RH
- Read Hysteresis value for limit 4
DESCRIPTION
These commands change the hysteresis values for each of the four open-
collector limit outputs. The characters in the
information field
are the value
in the engineering units.
The setpoint for each limit may be changed with the
WA,WC,WE,
and
WG
commands. For a complete explanation of limit parameters, please see
Chapter 12, "Understanding Limits.”
The PIM-3 will not send a response after this command has been processed.
If incorrect information is given, the PIM-3 will respond with “
COMMAND
ERROR
.”
The
RB,RD,RF,
and
RH
commands are used to read the limit return point
values. This command is a universal command. Sending this command for
the special address of “FF” will cause all PIM-3’s on the communications link
to process the command.
EXAMPLE
#00WH15.5
The above command, when followed by a carriage return, will change the
hysteresis of open collector limit 4 to 15.5.
WHEN TO USE IT
Limit parameters may be set at any time according to your particular applica-
tion.
