6. System setup
6.1. Menu control
1. Press the [SETUP] button to display the setup menu.
2. Press [

]/[

] to select an item. The sub-menu for the selected item will
immediately appear below.
3. Press [

] to enter the sub-menu.
4. Press [

]/[

] to select the sub-menu item you wish to setup, and press [ENTER]/
[

] to enter setup. Press [

]/[

] to select an option and confi rm with [ENTER] or
cancel by pressing [

].
5. You can then press [

]/[

] and continue in the setup of additional items from this
sub-menu.
6. Press [

] to return to the parent menu.
7. Press the [SETUP] button again to exit the setup menu.
Note:
The item you are currently setting is highlighted green. The current value is brown. If
the value is correct and does not require adjusting, you do not have to enter the sub-
menu (

) and you can continue on to the next item (

/

).
6.2. GENERAL SETUP
6.2.1. TV DISPLAY
If the device is connected to a standard TV, select 4:3 PANSCAN or 4:3 LETTERBOX.
A picture with a 4:3 aspect ratio is displayed full screen with the native aspect ratio.
4:3 PANSCAN: A widescreen picture is displayed on the screen with the native aspect
ratio, while part of the picture will be cropped on the left and right.
4:3 LETTER BOX: A widescreen picture is displayed on the screen with the native aspect
ratio with black strips above and below the picture.
If the device is connected to a widescreen TV, select 16:9.
16: 9: A widescreen picture is displayed on the screen with the native aspect ratio, while
the picture with a 4:3 aspect ratio is expanded to width in order to fi ll the screen.
6.2.2. ANGLE SYMBOL
Set this item to ON. When a disc with multiple camera angles is played, the angle
symbol will appear on the screen. You can then watch the video from various camera
angles after pressing the [ANGLE] button on the remote controller.
Turn off the function by setting the item to OFF.
Note:
This function can only be used for discs coded with multiple camera angles.
