The equipment incorporates three lethality tables of three reference mi-
croorganisms and a self-calculated lethality table so that the client can
incorporate the microorganism of their choice to calculate the total lethality
value of their heating treatment.
Lethality (L): Time (minutes) which it is necessary to heat a food product
to a certain temperature (T) in order to obtain the same lethal effect as
heating to the reference temperature (Tx) in 1 minute, singular value for
each microorganism.
The lethality values sum (L) during the time (minutes) the heat treatment
lasts will give us the total lethality value or the final F
0
sterilization or
pasteurization value.
Default lethality values (F

)
Default tables:
F

STERILE:
Lethality table of microorganism
Clostridium Botulinum
. This
is the reference microorganism (its sporulated form, more specifically) for
all thermal sterilization treatments.
F

PAST L:
Lethality table of microorganism
Streptococus faecalis D.
This
is a reference microorganism used in heating treatments of pasteurization
at low temperatures.
F
0
PAST H:
Lethality table of microorganism
Bacillus Coagulans
. This is
a reference microorganism used in heating pasteurization treatments at
high temperatures.

Consult with
any
questions before modifying a parameter
of the autoclave.
Downloading logs
When logs are downloaded, a copy of all logs is
downloaded to the USB Pendrive.
We suggest that you use the
registration
number
as the
lot number
.
Logs are removed from the autoclave, when
downloaded.
The maximum number of records that can re
-
main stored in the autoclave memory is about
100.
From this, they are deleted by order of antiquity.
The equipment will warn when the memory will
be above 80% full.
Download the logs every so often to store them
in a safe place.
We recommend keeping a copy in two different
USB memory sticks.
