* Only the 24-hour and minute hands are to be set at this stage. The hour hand is to be set
later so it is not necessary to adjust the hour hand yet, even if it is indicating the wrong time.
* The date may be altered depending on the position of the hour hand, however it should not
cause any concern since it can also be adjusted later.
* When setting the minute hand, advance it 4 to 5 minutes ahead of the desired time and
then turn it back to the exact time.
④. Push the crown back in simultaneously with the time signal.
The setting of the 24-hour, minute and second hands is completed.
⑤. Pull out the crown to first click to set the hour hand to the current
time (Japan time).
⑥. Turn the crown to set the hour hand to the current time of your area.
Adjust the date also at this point if necessary. Refer to "Date setting"
for details.
* When setting the time, be sure that AM/PM is set correctly .
* When adjusting the hour hand, turn the crown slowly, checking that the hour hand moves in
one hour increments.
* When adjusting the hour hand, the other hands may move slightly. However, this is not a
malfunction.

<This will be explained by using an example of a case in which the 24-hour hand indicates
GMT while the hour and minute hands show Japan time. >
①. For models with screw lock type crown, unscrew the crown by
turning it counterclockwise.
②. Pull out the crown to second click when the second hand is at the
12 o'clock position since the second hand be stopping on the spot.
③. Turn the crown to set the 24-hour and minute hands to the current time
of your desired time zone area. Be sure that AM/PM is properly set.

Ex.)
To set the 24-hour hand to GMT:10:00a.m. by the Japan time corresponds to 1:00' a.m.GMT. In
order to set the 24-hour hand to 1:00' a.m., adjust the 24-hour hand to indicate "1" on the 24-
hour scale (between 12 o'clock and 1 o'clock position), while the minute hand is at 12 o'clock
position.
