Mobile Surveillance
Introduction
The mobile surveillance can be realized by connecting
the mobile phone with an ISP (internet service provider)
which can then be used to establish connections with the
SuperDVR system. SuperDVR can currently support mobile
phone with Windows 2003 and Symbian Series 60 Devel-
oper Platform 2.0 intelligent mobile phones.
Phones that has been tested on and known to be fully
compatible with iCamDVR are as shown below in table 3.
Other Windows and Symbian series mobile phones may be
use but have not been tested.
Windows 2003 Mobile Connection
Server configuration on SuperDVR needs to be set before
the function on phone is activated. Please refer to
“Re-
mote Live Surveillance”
on page 51 for proper setup.
Activate/enable the mobile network on mobile phone first
to ensure accessible to the internet and then run “Inter-
net Explorer”. Input in the server’s address in the Address
(URL) to get to the following connection screen as shown
below in Figure116.
Click on the “PCam v1.0.6.5291” link in blue and a “Down-
load” confirmation dialog box will pop up as shown below
in figure 117.
