Propeller Torque
Propeller rotation of single engine installation can cause the steering to be heavier in one direction than the other.
The stern drive unit has an adjustable tab underneath the cavitations plate.
This tab should be adjusted to achieve neutral steering. (Non power-assisted steering only)
Corrosion Protection
Corrosion appears as pitting and deterioration of metal surfaces. Every metal has its own electrical potential or EP,
if metals of differing potential are submerged in water, then the one with the lowest EP will corrode, this prevents
the bronze and stainless steel parts of the stern gear and trim tabs, from corroding. Zinc or magnesium anodes are
favoured metals depending on the location of your boat
We recommend that all sacrificial anodes are checked regularly, failure to do so may cause serious corrosion
problems.
Damaged paint surfaces should be sanded down to bare metal, touched up with a suitable primer and topcoat. This
will prevent further corrosion. We recommend that all sacrificial anodes be checked regularly, failure to do so may
