The SP-3584 enclosure is not compatible with DDICs intended for the previous generation SP-2584
enclosure. A keying mechanism will prevent insertion.
2.3.3 Operator’s Panel
The front of the enclosure features an operator’s (ops) panel (shown in
) on the left-hand side
which contains the following:
• Unit Identification Display.
• Mute/Input button.
• Power On/Standby LED (green/amber).
• Module Fault LED (amber).
• Logical Status LED (amber).
• Drawer 1 Fault LED (amber).
• Drawer 2 Fault LED (amber).
The ops panel is an integral part of the chassis, and is not replaceable on site.
2.3.3.1
Unit Identification Display
A numerical display whose primary function is to display the enclosure unit identification number. This
can be helpful when setting up and maintaining multiple enclosure systems.
However, a VPD (Vital Product Data) option allows the unit identification display to be configured for
other purposes. The display will be on by default, and display a value of 0. See section
Identification Number”, on page 31
