Helm
The helm and engine controls are located on the
helm station. Molded-in electronics storage is
located forward of the helm and engine controls.
The back of the helm station is accessed through
a hatch in the cabin. This hatch provides access
to service the helm equipment or to install elec-
tronics.
There are drink holders, a foldout table and stor-
age compartments on the port side of the helm
station. The table and storage compartment doors
are secured in the closed position with “push to
close” slam latches. The table has built in cup
holders and there is chart storage in the forward
section of the table compartment.
A hinged platform at the helm provides a footrest
for the operator while seated or swings up to al-
low the operator to stand. Always make sure the
platform is secured properly with the magnetic
latch whenever it is in the up position.
Cabin Door and Hatch
The cabin door and hatch are made of acrylic plas-
tic glass. The two piece, folding hatch is mounted
in a curved track that is recessed into the deck.
The forward part the hatch is hinged and folds as it
opened. The hatch slides in the track to the open
or closed position. A lockable latch secures the
door and hatch in the closed position. The cabin
door is not completely water tight and it is normal
for some water to drip into the cabin during heavy
rains or when washing the boat.
The cabin door is hinged in the center and folds
against the side of the helm station. A draw latch
on the folding door secures the folding door when
it is closed. There is a special magnetic latch in
the cockpit next to the door and a snap to secure
it in the folded, open position. It is very important
that the cabin door is secured properly in the open
or closed position. The door could be damaged or
hurt a passenger by the motion of the boat if it is
allowed to swing free. The door and hatch should
be in the closed position and latched whenever
the boat is underway. The magnetic latch that
holds it in the open position could allow the door
to slam closed in rough water.
When securing the door and hatch, the door must
be closed first. It is closed by releasing it from the
magnetic latch and snap that holds it in the open
position. Then unfold the door as it closes and
