T-Top (Optional 221 Winyah)
The Scout T-top is made of welded powder coated
aluminum with a fiberglass hard top. It is de
-
signed to accommodate radio antennas, radar
antennas and spreader lights. It is equipped with
an electronics box and a courtesy light activated
by a switch in the helm. It is also equipped with
rod holders, spreader lights and storage for emer-
gency gear and life jackets.
The T-top is not designed to support the additional
weight of heavy items like a life raft. Radar and
electronics antennas must be mounted near the
center section of the T-top in the area above the
legs. Do not mount any antennas or equipment
to the brow area forward of the front legs or to
the rear of the top. The T-top is not designed to
support the weight of accessories in these areas.
The warranty for the T-top will be void if the top
is modified in any way or heavy accessories like
life rafts are mounted to the top. Additionally, if
items like radar antennas, spotlights and other
accessories are mounted in the wrong location,
the warranty could be void. If you intend to add
equipment or make modifications to the T-top, you
should contact Scout Customer Service to make
sure the equipment you would like to add or the
intended modification will not void the warranty
on the T-top.
T-Top (251 XS)
The Scout T-top on the 251 XS is a patented
design made of special welded powder coated
or anodized aluminum with outer braces fit into
pockets on each side of the console. The three-
sided tempered glass windshield and enclosure is
incorporated into the hard top frame.
The fiberglass hard top is equipped with naviga
-
tion and flush mounted spreader lights. It is also
designed to accommodate radio or radar antennas
and outriggers. The fiberglass inner liner accom
-
modates flush mounted electronics, cockpit lights
and map lights. Switches in the liner electronics
panel activate the LED spreader lights, cockpit
lights and map lights. It is also equipped with
rod holders and storage for emergency gear and
life jackets.
The T-top is not designed to support the additional
weight of heavy items like a life raft. Radar and
electronics antennas must be mounted near the
center section of the T-top in the area above the
legs. Do not mount any antennas or equipment
