Panic Mode/Siren Test
To enter Panic Mode press and hold the Radio Key button down for 3 seconds, the
system will change state (i.e. from armed to disarmed or disarmed to armed) and then
enter Panic Mode. Whilst in Panic Mode the siren will sound and the hazard lights will
flash indefinitely. To exit Panic Mode, briefly press and release the Radio Key button.
This time the system will not change state, just exit Panic Mode.
N.B.
If any of the Extended CDL Lock Pulse, Total Close or Total Open/Boot Release
features have been programmed to occur when the Radio Key button is “Held Down”,
then Panic Mode will no longer be available from the Single Button Radio Key. The
optional Two Button Radio Key should be used if Panic Mode is still required from the
Radio Key in addition to “Hold Down” operation of these features from button 1.
Starting the Vehicle – S30 Models without Key Theft Protection
The security system is armed and disarmed with the Radio Keys, however the two
immobilisation circuits on the S30 also automatically set a pre-set time (the Stall & Start
Time; usually 30 seconds) after the ignition is switched off. This is a Thatcham MIRRC
requirement, so that the driver cannot forget to set the immobilisation system.
Disarming the system and starting the vehicle:
Whilst the security system is fully armed the dashboard mounted LED will display a
short bright flash every second.
•
Press the Radio Key button briefly to disarm the security system in the normal
way.
•
The dashboard mounted LED will be switched to a solid green state for a pre-
set time (the Stall & Start Time; usually 30 seconds). Whilst the LED is solid green
you may start the vehicle.
If the ignition is not turned on whilst the green LED is illuminated (i.e. within 30 seconds
of disarming the system, or turning the engine off), the immobiliser will re-set. When
the immobiliser automatically re-sets, this is indicated by a short bright red flash from
the dashboard LED every 3 seconds.
Starting an immobilised vehicle:
•
To start the vehicle simply turn on the ignition, briefly press and release the
Radio Key button (the dashboard mounted LED will flash once).
•
Start the vehicle.
You may repeat this “switch ignition on – press Radio Key button – start vehicle”
sequence as often as you like.
Alternatively, when the dashboard LED is displaying a short bright red flash every 3
seconds, arm then immediately disarm the security system, then start the vehicle
within 30 seconds (dependent on programming) whilst the LED is solid green again.
