10.3 Setting the angle (fig. 1, 13, 17, 18)
Angled cuts of 0°-45° to the left of the parallel stop
(13) can be carried out with the circular table saw.

Before making every cut, check that no collision
can occur between the stop rail (28), transverse stop
(29) and the saw blade (4).
1. Loosen the locking handle (6).
2. Set the desired angle on the scale by turning the
hand wheel (8).
3. Lock the locking handle (6) at the desired angle
setting.
10.4 Using the parallel stop (fig. 13-19)
10.4.1 Setting the stop height (fig. 13+14)
• The stop rail (28) of the parallel stop (13) has two
guide surfaces at different heights.
• Depending on the thickness of the material to be
cut, the stop rail (28) must be used for thick materi-
al (workpiece thickness exceeding 25 mm) and for
thin material (workpiece thickness below 25 mm).
10.4.2 Turning the stop rail (fig. 13)
1.
To turn the stop rail (28), first loosen the knurled
nuts (i).
2.
The stop rail (28) can now be pulled off the paral
-
lel stop (13) and then slid over this again with the
corresponding guide.
3. Tighten the knurled nuts (i) again.
4. The stop rail (28) can be attached to the left or
right of the parallel stop (13) as required. To do
this, only mount the screws from the other side of
the parallel stop (13).
10.4.3 Setting the cutting width (fig. 14+15)
The parallel stop (13) must be used when cutting sec-
tions of wood lengthways.
1. Place the parallel stop (13) from above on the
guide rail (14) for the parallel stop (13).
2. 2 scales are printed on the guide rail (14) for the
parallel stop (13), which show the distance be-
tween the parallel stop (13) and the saw blade (4).
3. Select the appropriate scale depending on
whether the stop rail (28) has been turned for
processing thicker or thinner material:
High stop rail: thick material
Low stop rail: thin material
4. Set the parallel stop (13) to the desired dimension
on the sight glass and use the eccentric lever (12)
for the parallel stop (13) to fix in place.
10.4.4 Setting the stop length (fig. 16)
In order to avoid the material to be cut becoming
jammed, the stop rail (28) can slide in a longitudinal
direction.
Rule of thumb: The rear edge of the stop should inter-
sect an imaginary line that starts roughly at the centre
of the saw blade and runs to the rear at 45°:
1. Set the required cutting width.
2. Loosen the knurled nuts (i) and slide the stop rail
(28) far enough forward that it touches the imag-
inary 45° line.
3. Tighten the knurled nuts (i) again.
10.4.5 Calibrating the parallel stop (fig. 17+17a)
ATTENTION:
Take off the saw blade guard (2) (see
9.2).
1. Set the saw blade (4) to the maximum cutting
depth.
2. Set the parallel stop (13) such that the stop rail (28)
makes contact with the saw blade (setting for thick
material, see 10.4.3).
If the parallel stop (13) is not in line with the saw blade
(4), proceed as follows:
1.
Loosen the bolts (k) on the parallel stop suffi
-
ciently that the parallel stop (13) can be aligned
parallel to the saw blade (4).
2. Tighten the bolts (k) again.
10.5 Using the transverse stop (fig. 18)
When trimming, the transverse stop (29) must be ex-
tended from the parallel stop (13) with the stop rail
(28).
1. Slide the transverse stop (29) in the groove (26a) of
the saw table.
2. Loosen the knurled screw (27).
3. Turn the transverse stop (29) until the desired an-
gule has been set. The notch on the guide rod in-
dicates the set angle.
4. Retighten the knurled screw (27).
5. To extend the transverse stop (29) with the stop
rail (28), the stop rail (28) must be removed from
the parallel stop (13). Now mount the stop rail as
shown in fig. 18 using the knurled nuts (i).
ATTENTION:
Do not push the stop rail too far toward
to the saw blade. The distance between the stop rail
(28) and the saw blade (4) should be approx. 2 cm.
10.6 Setting the scale of the parallel stop (fig. 19)
Check whether the indicator on the sight glass (30) of
the parallel stop (13) shows correct values in relation
to the cutting line. If this is not the case, proceed as
follows:
1.
Loosen the screw (30a) which fixes the indicator
to the sight glass (30) of the parallel stop (13).
Now the indicator on the sight glass (30) can be
set to the correct position.
2. Now retighten the screw (30a) on the sight glass
(30).
