7.9 Water ballast system(s)
Wing tanks
A metal rod connects the operating knob in the cockpit to a torsional drive (in the
fuselage center) which, on rigging the inbd. wing panels, automatically hooks up
to torque tubes actuating the wing tank dump valves. These tubes are rotated to
their "closed" position by spring force. The operating knob in the cockpit runs in a
gate and can be locked in the extreme positions.

Fin tank (option)
A steel cable connects the torsional drive in the fuselage center to the dump
valve of the fin tank - hence the knob in the cockpit controls all tanks.
A description on how to use the fin tank is found on page 4.5.6.3 and the
following.
A water ballast loading table is provided on page 6.2.6 and the following.
