8.3. Service Interval
Regular inspection before operation
• Check strainer for free flow. Remove all particles (A).
• Inspect cofferdam for leakage (B), this has to be done during operation while
the inlet housing is pressurized. If leakage is detected the seals have to be
changed, the drive unit also have to be checked for leakage and drained. If
water is trapped inside the drive unit it could be damaged.
Every 12 month or every 300h operation, whichever comes first
• Thoroughly flush the machine prior to disassembly, assuring that no
hazardous material remains in the machine
• Be observant for leakage. Inspect cofferdam as described earlier.
• Check the gearbox so it is properly greased; if necessary, refill
- Thoroughly grease gears
- Suitable grease is “BP Energrease MP-MG
2” (Scanjet part no: 250059) or equal to this
specification. If another type of grease is
used, all old grease have to be removed and
the gearbox has to be cleaned.

NOTE!
If removing drive unit, make sure to
protect the magnets from dirt (steel chips
etc.) and damages.
• Check all seals, gears, bearings and ball bearings
for wear, if necessary replace
