The AS 30 has five audio inputs, and only four of these require a rear connection:
AUX 1:
A pair of RCA jacks. The classical connection
to your player.
AUX 2:
One 3.5 mm stereo jack.
OPTICAL:
One optical digital input, not suitable for
decoding multi-channel audio signals
(e.g. Dolby Digital or dts).
USB:
USB B-port for connection to a computer.
Data up to 96 kHz/24 bit can be processed.
All inputs can be connected simultaneously and fed with
an audio signal. However, only the source selected using
the remote control can be heard.
The AS 30 has an audio output for subwoofers (SUB OUT).
At this mono RCA jack, the AS 30 produces a 120 Hz
audio signal with a pre-connected low-pass filter.
Bluetooth streaming
In order to use the Bluetooth input, you need an audio source with a Bluetooth
transmitter. Both devices must first be “paired” for them to communicate with each
other. To do this, select the (Bluetooth) source on the remote control when the AS
30 is switched on. The left LED should start flashing. This indicates that the AS 30
is searching. Now start the search for devices on the Bluetooth menu of your player
and connect to the “Saxx AS 30”. The LED will stop blinking and light continuously
when the connection is successful.
If the left LED lights continuously after selecting the (Bluetooth) source, a con-
nection already exists, i.e. the audio source and speaker are already paired and
you can enjoy listening as soon as you start your player.
If you wish to use a different player, it is required that you first disconnect the con-
nected device. This can be done ideally by simply switching off Bluetooth on the
player. It is however also possible to break the connection by disconnecting the
AS 30 from the main power supply.
