BEFORE FIRST USE
•
Remove all packaging materials.
•
Check the contents to ensure that it is complete and for any signs of transport damage.
•
Store the original packaging. It can be reused for transportation or storage. Dispose of
packaging material which is no longer required in an environmentally-friendly way and in
accordance with the applicable regulations and keep them away from children.
•
Lay out the power cable fully.
•
Insert the power plug into an earthed wall socket that has been correctly installed.
•
Heat up the device four to five times at level 7 (see operation) without any bread, in order to
burn off residue from production. During this time ensure that there is sufficient ventilation (e.g.
the window is open) as a small amount of smoke can be emitted.
•
Following this clean the device as described in cleaning and maintenance.
IMPORTANT SAFETY GUIDELINES

Read this instruction manual carefully before using the device for the first time. Observe all the
safety guidelines in order to avoid damage due to improper use.

Store the operating instructions for later use. If the device is passed on to third parties, then
these operating instructions have to be handed on with it.

The device is only intended for private use.

Only use the device indoors and for its intended purpose. Do not use the toaster outdoors or in
the bathroom.
5.
In case of improper use or incorrect handling, no liability can be assumed for any damage which
may occur.
6.
Before use please check whether the type of current and mains voltage agree with the
information on the name plate.
