INSERTING THE BATTERY PACK

This digital camera uses one DB-L30 lithium-ion battery pack. Before using 
the battery pack, read the safety warnings on page 15 of this manual. When 
replacing the battery pack, the camera should be turned off  (page 33).

Slide the battery chamber door toward the front of the camera to 
release the safety catch. Open the door.

2 

Slide the battery pack into the battery chamber with the battery pack 
terminals first.

3 

Close the battery chamber door and slide it toward the back of the 
camera to engage the safety catch.

After installing the battery pack, the set-time/date message may appear on 
the monitor.
See page 34 on how to set the clock. An internal battery pack protects the 
clock, calendar, and memory settings for more than 24 hours if the camera is 
used for at least 5 minutes before removing the battery pack.
