Understanding the Display Screen
No service indicator
— Indicates your device cannot find a
signal because you’re outside a service area. You cannot make
or receive calls. Wait for a signal or move into an open area to
try and find a signal. The no service indicator always appears
when you turn on your device and disappears once service is
located.
3G
Protocol
— Indicates your device is using the higher speed
3G protocol.
1X
Protocol
— Indicates your device is using the lower speed
1X protocol.
Bluetooth
— Indicates Bluetooth
®
device functions are active.
Alarm clock
— Indicates an alarm clock is set.
Vibrate
—
Ring Vibration
has been set to
Vibrate
using the
Settings
menu. When you receive a call, the device vibrates
but does not ring.
Silent mode
— Indicates your device is in Silent mode. Ringer
is silenced for all alerts, incoming calls, and incoming
messages. The device alerts you of incoming calls, alerts, and
messages by vibration and a message in the screen.
