      Connecting Peripherals 

 

Note: If the PC is connected directly to the SMG-3000 system, a UTP crossover cable is required. If the connection is 
via a hub, a straight-through cable should be used. 

 

 

Connecting the PC for PMS  

The PMS (Property Management System) is a software package running on a PC which is used in hotels and 
similar establishments. The PMS receives details of phone bills, the current status of guest-rooms, etc, from 
the system and monitors activity and prints reports for management purposes. 
 
1.  Prepare an RS-232C cable with 25-pin connectors that will be used to connect the PMS PC and the
