1. When you are in the T9 predictive text input, start
writing a word by using keys to . Press
each key only once for one letter.
For example, to enter ‘hello’ in the
T9 English
mode, press , , , and .
2. The word you are typing appears in the display. It
may change with each key you press.
3. Type to the end of the word before editing or
deleting any keystrokes.
4. Complete each word with a space by pressing .

There are three shift states: Lower Case (no shift
indicator), Initial Cap ( indicator appears), and
Caps Lock ( indicator appears). Press one
or more times to display the appropriate shift
indicator, and begin typing normally.

5. If the word is correct, start writing the next word.
If the word is not correct, press one or more
times to display alternate word choices for the keys
you have typed. (For example, ‘of’ and ‘me’ both
shares the sequence , . The phone displays
the most commonly used choice first.)
• To type words not found in the T9 mode, change
the text input mode to the
ABC
mode.
• To delete a character, press
. Press and hold
to erase entire words.
Entering Text
Number Mode
The Number Mode enables you to enter numbers
into a text message. Press keys corresponding to the
desired digits, and manually switch back to the text
entry mode of choice.
T9 Mode
T9 predictive text input allows you to enter words
easily with a minimum of key presses. As you press
each key the phone selects a letter that makes up a
word that it thinks you are trying to type, based on a
built-in dictionary. As a new letter is added the word
changes based on the key you have pressed.
