Receiving data via Bluetooth

You can receive data from other people or you can take 

data from other devices directly via Bluetooth. To receive 

data, your phone’s Bluetooth feature must be active.

Note

: When a Bluetooth device sends data to your phone, 

the phone displays a confirmation message if the 

other device is unauthorised (see page 182). To 

receive data, press the 

Yes 

soft key.

Infrared

   (Menu 9.6.2)

 

This feature allows you to send or receive data through 

the infrared port. To use an infrared connection, you 

must:
• configure and activate an IrDA-compliant infrared port 

on another device.

• activate the infrared feature on the phone; the IrDA 

icon (

) appears on the top line of the display.

• align the IrDA port on the phone with the IrDA port on 

another device.

The connection is ready for data transmission.

If there is no communication between your phone and 

the IrDA-compliant device within 60 seconds of 

activating the feature, it is automatically deactivated.
