Service center: store or changes the
number of your SMS server.
Default destination: enter a default
destination number.
Default type: set the default message
type. The network can convert the
messages into the selected format.
Validity period: set the length of time your
messages are stored in the SMS server.
• Common settings: The following options
are available:
Reply path: allow recipients to reply to you
through your SMS server.
Delivery reports: set the network to
inform you when your messages have been
delivered.
Bearer selection: select either GSM or
GPRS preferred, depending on your
network.
Character support: select a character
encoding type. When you select Automatic,
the phone switches the encoding type from
GSM-alphabet to Uni-code if you enter a
Unicode character. Use of Unicode encoding
will reduce the maximum number of
characters in a message to about half. If this
menu is not shown, your phone provides
automatic character encoding by default.

Multimedia Message Service (MMS) delivers
messages containing a combination of text, an
image, and an audio, from phone to phone or
from phone to e-mail.
Create
