Fn Key
While in Input Mode, the Fn (Function) key (
) lets you toggle
text input modes between
Abc
and
123/Sym
.
While in Standby mode, press and hold the Fn (Function) key (
)
to activate/deactivate Vibrate Mode.
Entering Text
Your phone has a QWERTY (
) keypad to
support quick and easy text input. You can enter text as you
would when using a computer keyboard.
The keys are labeled with a letter on the lower half and a number
or symbol on the upper half. Press the key corresponding to the
character you want to enter.
In addition, you can use the following special function keys:

The top line of your phone’s display contains icons that
indicate network status, battery power, signal strength,
and more. (For more information, refer to
“Display Screen
Icons”
on page 15.)
Press to delete characters.
Tip:
You can also delete a character by pressing
.
Press to start a new line.
Press once to enter a single upper case letter.
Press twice to select CAPS LOCK.
Press once more to remove CAPS LOCK.
Press to pop-up the first of three pages of symbols in
which you can select desired symbols.
Press once to enter 123/Sym mode for a single character.
Press twice to toggle from Abc mode to 123/Sym mode.
Press once more to return to Abc (abc) mode.
Press to insert a space in a text entry.
