Adding refrigerant
The outdoor unit is loaded with sufficient refrigerant for the standard piping. Thus, refrigerant must be added if the
piping is lengthened. This operation can only be performed by a qualified refrigeration specialist. For quantity of adding
refrigerant, refer to page 26.
1. Check that the stop valve is closed entirely.
2. Charge the refrigerant through the service port of liquid stop valve.
3. If you cannot charge the refrigerant according to the upper steps, following these :
1) Open both liquid stop valve and gas stop valve.
2)
Operate the air conditioner by pressing the K2 key on the outdoor unit PCB.
3)
About 30 minutes later, charge the refrigerant through the service port of gas stop valve.

How to Calculate the Quantity of Adding Refrigerant
The quantity of additional refrigerant is variable according to the installation situation. Thus, make sure
the outdoor unit situation before adding refrigerant. This operation can only be performed by a qualified
refrigeration specialist.
