TRAILED ROTARY TEDDER
P10-1200
For correct adjustment of the ground wheels to the transport position, follow the instructions below
1.
Rotate the steered wheels of the tedder to the position parallel to the direction of travel and the
tedder bars. An arrow on the swivel lever (
), is helpful in determining the direction of the
wheels from the tractor cab.
Fig. 16.
Determining the direction of controlled wheels
WARNING!
Before driving the tractor forwards, make sure that the controlled wheels are in
the correct position - parallel to the direction of travel. Incorrect wheel position
can damage the tedder.
2.
Drive forward very slowly. The other wheels should be positioned automatically parallel to the
direction of travel,
WARNING!
When starting to drive forward after folding the tedder, be very careful! Especially
when the terrain is uneven! There is a possibility of improper wheel positioning,
which may cause damage to the wheels.
WARNING!
When driving along the wheel tracks, it is possible to position the rotating wheel
systems perpendicular to the direction of travel, which may cause damage to the
wheels. If possible, longitudinal irregularities should be overcome
perpendicularly.
3.
After ensuring that all tedder wheels are correctly positioned - parallel to the direction of travel -
the tedder can be transported. During transport, the driving speed must be adjusted to the road
conditions and surface quality.
WARNING!
Disconnect the telescopic PTO shaft from the tractor before folding the tedder
into transport position if the tractor is equipped with an automatic power take-off
lock. If the shaft is not uncoupled, the drive shafts may be damaged.
