TRAILED ROTARY TEDDER
OPERATOR’S MANUAL
In order to prepare the tedder for transport:
a)
Switch off the PTO drive!
Always switch off the PTO drive of the tractor before moving the machine to the transport position.
Before the operation, it is necessary to make sure that the tedder rotors have come to a standstill.
WARNING!
Folding the machine with rotating rotors will damage the side drive shafts.
DO
NOT
fold the machine when the rotors are rotating!
b)
Level the rotors with the tilt cylinder
The tedder is equipped with a tilt cylinder for the working position. In order to get the machine to the
transport position, first of all, pull down the tilt cylinder as far as possible until the arm rotors are level.
In
, the individual stages of levelling and adjusting the tilt mechanism in both tilted and level
positions are presented.

transport height of the rotor fingers depends on the working angle
WARNING!
Failure to level the machine before folding it backwards can damage the main
central cylinder and the folding mechanism.
c)
Fold in the tarpaulin sheet
Before folding in the machine using the main central cylinder, fold in the hydraulically operated tarpaulin
sheet (
), that prevents loss of forage when tedding at the edge of the field.
