5.5.2. Mower positioning during directional changes
Raise the mower using the hydraulic lift (Position 2 Pict 3) and turn around. The height of the raised
mower is enough to drive over mowed grass without additionally raising the mower on the TPH of
the tractor.
ATTENTION:
The mower could leave a small furrow in the middle of the cut because of
the push of the air resulting from the cutting disc rotating in opposite directions.
WARNING:
Tilting the mower back is forbidden as it wil cause faster wear or even damage
of the cutting bar.
5.6 Preparing the mower for transport
The following is required to prepare the mower connected to a tractor for transport - movement on
public roads:
1.
lift the mower using the hydraulic hoist of the tractor so that the spindles of the hanging frame
of the mower are at least 40 cm above ground level (Pict 14),
2.
Raise the supporting foot S (Pict 9),
3.
Before folding for transport lock the coping tie (locking bar A Pict 12). Failure to lock the tie
may cause damage to WPT shafts. See label 24 page 18,
Pict 11. A – Locking of the coping tie;
B – Coping tie; Z – Locking bar.
4.
With mowers with spring or hydro-pneumatic suspension the proper positions of the locking
bar of the tie are shown on Pict 12a, on which are shown the setting for the locking of the tie in
the operating position, Pict 12b – in rest position and on Pict 12c, where the assembly is set in
the transport position.
