To get access to the
Main Menu
you have to press the
Menu
button while on the
Start up
screen.

Here you will find following options.

5.1 Settings

In the
Settings
section you can also adjusted the material, unit and angle for the
measurement like explained in 4.1.

5.1.1 Material
!
!
In this respective section the user hast to adjust the specific material of the test piece he will
gauge. To navigate through the menu use the left & mid screen key. By pressing
Enter
the
material will be selected and you come back to the Menu
Settings
. You can adjust that
settings also directly from the
Start up
screen. See 4.1 for that.

5.1.2 Units
!
!
In this section the user has to adjust the unit he wants to have his results in. It is important to
consider that not every material may be measured in every unit. For example: If one wants to
measure the hardness of bronze he can only choose between the units Leeb (HLD) & Brinell
(HB). However if one wants to measure the hardness of brass he may choose between
Leeb, Brinell & Rockwell B (HRB). At the end of this section you can find a detailed table
regarding this problem.
