Choosing How to Access Menus
When you update your device to Chat software version 2.28, new
options are available for accessing the menus. You can access the
menus as you always have. See “
” on page
25. Or you can change how you access menus. See “Changing the Menu
Access Method”.
Changing the Menu Access Method
You can change the location of the Chat software on-screen menu button.
Choose
Settings
>
Style
. Scroll to the Miscellaneous section and select
Menu Access
. The Menu Access window will display three options. Select
an option to set the location of the Menu button or hide it.
Hidden:
The Menu button
will not be displayed.
Speech Display Bar:
The
Menu button will appear in
the Speech Display Bar (SDB).
Menu Bar:
The Menu Bar will
appear across the top of the
screen.
If you select Hidden from the Menu Access window:
The Menu button will not be displayed. When you need to use the
menu, press and hold on
Back
to open the menu. If you no longer want
to hide the Menu button, go to the Menu Access window and select one
of the other options.
If you select Speech Display Bar from the Menu Access window:
The Menu button will appear in the Speech Display Bar (SDB).
