Starting the vehicle
Warning
- When the vehicle is in motion,
do not turn the ignition switch
into the lock or ACC position.
This will reduce the vehicle
control and brake power,
resulting in an accident.
- Do not insert your hand
into the steering wheel to
get access to the ignition
switch or other keys in front
of the dashboard. This can
reduce the controllability of
the vehicle, resulting in an
accident.
Starting the vehicle
1- Make sure that the parking
brake is engaged.
2- Hold the clutch pedal to the
floor and shift the gear selector
in neutral position. When starting
the engine, push the clutch
pedal all the way down.
3- Turn and hold the switch in
the start position until the engine
starts within ten seconds.
In very cold weather when the
temperature is lower than 18°c
or when the engine has been off
for several days, it is necessary
to allow the engine warms up
sufficiently. This must be done
without pressing the accelerator
pedal. To start the engine in
warm or in cold condition, do not
push the accelerator pedal.
