SAFETYLINK’S GUIDELINES
Prior to ladder assembly, refer below SafetyLink’s installation guidelines and considerations based on AS1657:2018.

Ladders over 6 metres will require a ladder cage or
fall arrest system.
It is highly recommended that a ladder cage or fall
arrest system be supplied for all ladders over 3.5
metres regardless of angle.

Ladder cages must have a clearance between
the ladder base/platform and the ladder cage
of between 2000 to 2200mm.
7.
Installing ladders onto uneven surfaces such as roof
sheets may introduce a slip or trip hazard. To
eliminate this hazard, landing platforms should be
installed.

A self-closing gate opening inwards towards
the roof should be installed at the top of the
ladder at the point of entry to the roof.
