LADDER MOUNTING BRACKET LOCATIONS
Determine the best locations for ladder mounting brackets based on building structure and ladder joins.
1.
Ladder
Top
Bracket:
All ladders should have a fixing bracket within the top three rungs of the ladder.
Preferred location of ladder bracket installation between
the top two rungs.
Alternate location of ladder bracket installation if
preferred location is not possible.
Do not
install ladder brackets in these areas.
2.
Ladder
Section
Brackets:
Ladder mounting brackets should be installed up to 2.4 metres apart.
Preferred location of ladder bracket installation within
150mm either side of ladder section joins.
Alternate location of ladder bracket installation if
preferred location is not possible.
Do not
install ladder brackets in these areas.
3.
Drill a M10 hole through the ladder bracket and the ladder stile, ensure the hole does not penetrate to the
ladder rung area.
4.
Place the M10 x 60mm set screw through the drilled hole, add M10 Washer then tighten with M10 nyloc nut.
Acceptable fasteners for the installation of the Wall Fixing Bracket to a structure as below:
FIXING
SURFACE FASTENERS (NOT SUPPLIED)
Timber/Purlin: 3 x 14-gauge roofing screws (to penetrate at least 35mm to structure).
Steel:
2 x M10 Bolts fixed through the structure.
Concrete:
2 x M10 masonry bolts or equivalent.
Roof sheet:
3x 8mm Tri-fold rivets allowed only for Top bracket when it is installed with Top platform.
