DO NOT put snowsuits or
bulky garments on your
infant when placing them in
the child restraint.
Bulky clothing can prevent
the harness straps from
being tightened properly.
To keep infant warm,
buckle your infant in the
child restraint and place a
blanket around the infant or
place the infant’s coat on
backwards after buckling in.
Failure to follow these steps can result in
serious injury or death.
Tighten Harness
Pull harness strap away
from child restraint at the
harness strap to tighten
harness snugly. Pull on
free end to remove the
slack.
NOTE:
A snug strap
should not allow any
slack. It lies in a relatively
straight line without
sagging. It does not press
on the child’s flesh or
push the child’s body into
an unnatural position.

Close Chest Clip
Insert right half of chest
clip into left half and snap
together.
4.
Buckle
While holding the buckle
tongues together, push
buckle tongues into the
buckle until you hear a
“click”. Pull on the harness
straps just above the buckle
to make sure the buckle
tongues are locked into
place.
