The serial connection is required to monitor spectrum with Spectrum
Compact on a PC (see
Realtime mode with Spectrum Manager
manual for Spectrum Manager).
By default Spectrum Compact is in MSD mode and it is recommended to
keep it so for file access and firmware upgrade.
To exit the USB MODE submenu, tap BACK. To exit the SERVICE MENU and
return to the TOOLS menu tap BACK.
DISABLE CHARGING
Tapping the DISABLE CHARGING button disables the current draw from a
power source, e.g., a laptop computer. It is still possible to sweep the
spectrum or work with files but only the Spectrum Compact’s battery power
is used.
When DISABLE CHARGING is enabled, the DISABLE CHARGING button is
green.
To allow charging the device, disable the button by tapping it again.
The DISABLE CHARGING button is automatically deactivated when the
device is turned off.
To exit the SERVICE MENU tap BACK.
