By using vibration dampers, vibrations can be reduced as indicated in subsection
tion data for compressors (all compressor types).
The diagram in Fig. 79 shows the vibration damping at various speeds depending on the de-
flection (H-H’ or h-h’) of the vibration dampers:
Fig. 78: Adjustable vibration damper
Vibration dampers can be adjusted in height by means of a screw, pos.1, Fig. 78, which is fi-
nally locked by a tightening nut, pos. 2.
Fig. 79: Diagram for damping of vibrations
As each part of the unit has its own weight, the whole unit does not rest with the same weight
on all supports.
Consequently, vibration dampers with different bearing capacities will be used on a unit and
these must be placed correctly in accordance with the Mounting instruction supplied by John-
son Controls Denmark for each particular unit.
On delivery of a unit from Johnson Controls Denmark, the vibration dampers have not been
mounted. They are included in the delivery and marked with a code.
Similar codes are written in the drawing indicating the position of the vibration dampers. This
drawing will be forwarded for each specific order and must be used for that particular order
only.
