These instructions
These instructions describe the installation and con-
nection of the Ascotherm
®
eco Underfloor Convec
-
tor to the heating or cooling system.
Underfloor convectors having electrical compo
-
nents are described in a separate instruction man-
ual.
After installation, pass
these instruction to the
builder and then on to the end-user
.
Permissible use
The Ascotherm
®
eco Underfloor Convector may be
used only in interior rooms, e.g. in living space or
offices.
Any other use is contrary to its intended purpose
and therefore is not permissible.
Misuse
The Ascotherm
®
eco Underfloor Convector may
not
be used in moisture-prone rooms, e.g. in swimming
pools.
Changes or reconstructions are not permitted. The
manufacturer assumes no liability for damages due
to improper use.
Qualification of staff
The Ascotherm
®
eco Underfloor Convector may be
installed, placed in operation and repaired only by
properly trained personnel.
The connection of electrical components may be
carried out only by a qualified electrician (in Ger
-
many according to BGVA3 Trade Association regu
-
lations- Systems) after a separate instruction.
Safety instructions

Read these instructions for installation and use
thoroughly prior to installation/commissioning.

Observe local regulations.
►
Observe the safety directions in the separate
instructions for electrical connections in under-
floor-convectors having electrical components.
DANGER
Life-threatening situation!

Check the condition of the supply lines (elec

tricity, gas, water).
►
Do not drill into any lines.
WARNING
Risk of injury!
►
Pay attention to the weight of the under-
floor-convector (see technical data).
►
At 25 kg and above, work with lifting equip
-
ment or several persons.
►
Wear safety shoes during installation.
WARNING
Personal injury and material damage!
►
Check substrate for load-bearing capacity.
Take into account the weight of the
filled
underfloor-convector (see technical data) and
possible additional loads.
►
Make sure, that no water can enter the
trough of the underfloor convector.
►
Select fastening materials appropriate for the
structural situation.
►
Special requirements, e.g. for public build-
ings (schools or the like), must be taken into
into account.
Operating conditions
►
Observe operating conditions for water heating
installations according to DIN 18380 "VOB Ger
-
man Construction Contract Procedures".
►
Maintain water condition according to VDI (As
-
sociation of German Engineers) 2035 "Preven
-
tion of damage in hot water heating installa-
tions".
►
Use the underfloor-convector only in closed
heating systems.
►
Store and transport the underfloor-convector
only in protective packaging.
Cleaning
►
Use only mild, non-abrasive cleansing agents.
Complaint
►
Contact the manufacturer.
Disposal
►
Packaging and any parts that are not needed
should be recycled or disposed of properly. Ob
-
serve local regulations.
