WASHER

See Figures 11 - 12.

CAUTION:

Do not start the pressure washer without the

water supply connected and turned on.

Before starting the engine:

n

   Check all hoses for damage.

n

   Connect all hoses.

n

Check all fluids (lubricant and petrol).

n

Turn on the garden hose then squeeze the trigger

to relieve air pressure; hold the trigger until a steady

stream of water appears.

n

Push ON/OFF switch to ON position.

To start the engine:

n

Push choke lever in to start position.

n

Grasp the recoil starter and pull slowly until

resistance is felt. Give the recoil starter a short, brisk

pull to start the engine.

n

To assist with starting hold trigger open to prevent

pump pressure build up. Release once engine starts.

NOTE:

Do not allow the recoil starter to snap back after

starting; return it gently to its original place.

n

Let engine run for several seconds, then pull choke

lever out to run position.

To stop the engine:

On the side of the engine is an

“O”

(Stop) switch. Press

and hold the switch in the

“O”

(Stop) position for 3

seconds or until the engine stops.

USING THE GUN

See Figure 13.

For greater control and safety, keep both hands on the

gun at all times.

n

Pull back and hold the trigger to operate the pressure

washer.

n

Release the trigger to stop the flow of water through

the nozzle.

To engage the lock out:

n

Pull back on the lock out until it clicks into the slot.

To disengage the lock out:

n

Push the lock out down and into its original position.

For the most effective cleaning, the spray nozzle should

be between 20cm and 60cm from the surface to be

cleaned. If the spray is too close it can damage the

cleaning surface.

SELECTING THE RIGHT QUICK CONNECT NOZZLE

FOR THE JOB

See Figure 14 - 15.

Before starting any cleaning job, determine the best

nozzle for the job. Each of the nozzles has a different

spray  pattern. The  supplied  nozzles  are:  40˚  White  (for

gentle cleaning), 25˚ Green (for general purpose cleaning

or  large  surfaces),  0˚  Red  (for  spot  cleaning  or  high-to-

reach areas), and Low Pressure Black (for detergent

application and rinsing).

WARNING:

NEVER change nozzles without engaging the

lock out on the gun and NEVER point the lance at

your face or at others. The Quick Connect collar

contains small springs that could eject the nozzle

with some force. Failure to heed this may cause

personal injury.

Using the Quick Connect collar, changing nozzles is

easy.

To connect a nozzle to the lance:

n

Turn off the pressure washer and shut off the water

supply. Pull trigger to release water pressure.

n

Engage the lock out on the gun by pulling down on

the lock out until it clicks into the slot.

n

Push the nozzle into the Quick Connect collar until it

clicks in place and is secured properly.

To disconnect a nozzle from the lance once the

cleaning job is complete:

n

Turn off the pressure washer and shut off the water

supply. Pull trigger to release water pressure.

n

Engage the lock out on the gun by pushing down on

the lock out until it clicks into the slot.

n

Remove the nozzle by placing hand over nozzle then

pulling back the Quick Connect collar. Place nozzle

in the nozzle storage area on the top of the pressure

washer.

WASHING WITH DETERGENT

See Figure 16.

Use only detergents designed for pressure washers;

house hold detergents, acids, alkalines, bleaches,

solvents, flam mable material, or industrial grade

solutions can damage the pump. Many detergents may

require mixing prior to use. Prepare cleaning solution as

instructed on the solution bottle.

n

Remove the cap from the detergent container. Place

the injection hose with filter in the bottle, the filter end

should rest at the bottom of the bottle.

n

Install the Low Pressure Black nozzle on the lance.

n

Spray the detergent on a dry surface using long,

even, overlapping strokes. To prevent streaking, do

not allow detergent to dry on the surface.

Before shutting off the engine:

n

Place the injection hose in a bucket of clean water.
