1.  Place battery in your grass shears. Align

raised rib on battery with groove in grass
shears housing (Fig. 6).

WARNING:

NEVER operate the

grass shears with broken or missing
parts. Take the grass shears to an
authorized Ryobi service dealer for
repairs. Failure to heed this warning
can result in serious personal injury.

WARNING:

Battery tools do not

have to be plugged in; they are
always in operating condition. Avoid
unintentional starting of grass shears
at all times. Never carry grass
shears with finger on the trigger.

WARNING:

ALWAYS be sure that

the trigger is OFF and the lock-off
button is not pushed forward before
installing the battery in your grass
shears. Failure to heed this warning
can result in serious personal injury.

WARNING:

STAY ALERT and watch

what you are doing. Do not operate
grass shears when fatigued. Failure
to heed this warning can result in
serious personal injury.

7. The Ryobi #181918 battery should be

charged for a minimum of 8 hours between
each use. The units operating time and the
life of the battery will be shortened if this
procedure is not followed.

8. The grass shears should not be stored at

temperatures above 100º F (37º C) because
high temperatures will shorten the life of the
battery.

9. After a full charge, disconnect the 12V

charger from the wall outlet, and remove
the battery from the charging stand. This
avoids battery overcharging, which can
reduce battery life.
