CHARGING THE BATTERY PACK WITH A
USB-C CABLE

See Figure 1.

Battery packs are shipped in a low charge condition to prevent
possible problems. Therefore, you should charge prior to first
use. If the charger does not charge the battery pack under
normal circumstances, return both the battery pack and charger
to your nearest Authorized Service Center for electrical check.



Charge the battery pack only with the recommended charger
or a UL listed USB source.



Refer to charger operator’s manual for charging instructions
or follow the instructions below for USB charging.

To charge the battery pack using a UL listed USB source:



Remove the battery pack from the tool, if applicable.



Insert the USB-C cable into the battery pack as shown.



Connect the USB-C cable to a UL listed USB adaptor or
power source.

MAINTENANCE



Make sure the adaptor or power source is connected to
normal household voltage, 120 volts, AC only, 60 Hz.



Remove the USB-C cable and disconnect the adaptor or
power source once the battery pack is fully charged.

CHARGING A HOT BATTERY PACK

When using a tool continuously, the battery pack may become
hot. A hot battery pack may not flash while plugged in to charge.
Charging will not begin until the battery temperature cools to
within acceptable range and the LED begins to flash. If the pack
does not begin to charge after 30 minutes, the battery or USB-C
cable may have an error. For standalone chargers, please refer
to charger operator’s manual.

CHARGING A COLD BATTERY PACK

A cold battery pack may not flash while plugged in to charge.
Charging will not begin until the battery temperature warms
to within acceptable range and the LED begins to flash. If the
pack does not begin to charge after 30 minutes, the battery
or USB-C cable may have an error. For standalone chargers,
please refer to charger operator’s manual.
