

Know your product. Read operator’s manual carefully.

Learn its applications and limitations, as well as the

specific potential hazards related to this product.

Fol-

lowing this rule will reduce the risk of electric shock, fire,
or serious injury.



Do not permit children to use work light.

It is not a toy.



Carefully position the power cord during use.

A power

cord in your walking path can be a tripping hazard.



If wrapped or in contact with fabrics, the work light

lens can produce sufficient heat to melt some fabrics.

To avoid serious personal injury, never allow the work light
lens to come in contact with anything.



Do not place hands or fingers between adjustable
head and frame when positioning work light to avoid

possible pinching.



Battery tools do not have to be plugged into an elec-
trical outlet; therefore, they are always in operating

condition.

Be aware of possible hazards when not using

your battery tool or when changing accessories. Follow-
ing this rule will reduce the risk of electric shock, fire, or
serious personal injury.



Do not place the product or their batteries near fire or

heat.

This will reduce the risk of explosion and possibly

injury.

Do not crush, drop or damage battery pack. Do not

use a battery pack or charger that has been dropped

or received a sharp blow.

A damaged battery is subject

to explosion. Properly dispose of a dropped or damaged
battery immediately.



Batteries can explode in the presence of a source

of ignition, such as a pilot light.

To reduce the risk of

serious personal injury, never use any cordless product
in the presence of open flame. An exploded battery can
propel debris and chemicals. If exposed, flush with water
immediately.



Under extreme usage or temperature conditions, bat-

tery leakage may occur. If liquid comes in contact with
your skin, wash immediately with soap and water. If

liquid gets into your eyes, flush them with clean water
for at least 10 minutes, then seek immediate medical

attention.

Following this rule will reduce the risk of seri-

ous personal injury.



Do not incinerate the battery even if it is severely

damaged.

The batteries can explode in a fire.



To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not use

this product with any solid-state speed control device.



To reduce the risk of personal injury and electric
shock, the product should not be played with or

placed where small children can reach it.



To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not expose to

water or rain.



To disconnect, turn all controls to the off (“O”) position,
then remove plug from outlet.



Do not unplug by pulling on cord.

To unplug, grasp the

plug, not the cord.



Do not operate any product with a damaged (cord or)
plug, or after the product malfuntions or is dropped or
damaged in any manner. Return product to the nearest
authorized service facility for examination, repair, or elec-
trical or mechanical adjustment.



Use only extension cords which have plugs and recep-
tacles which accept the product’s plug. Replace damaged
extension cords.



Don’t Abuse Cord

 — Never carry tool by the cord or

yank it to disconnect from receptacle. Keep cord from
heat, oil, sharp edges, and rotating parts.



Make sure your extension cord is in good condition.
When using an extension cord, be sure to use one heavy
enough to carry the current your product will draw. An
undersized extension cord will cause a drop in line volt-
age resulting in loss of power and overheating. Table 77.1
shows the correct size to use depending on cord length
and nameplate ampere rating. If in doubt, use the next
heavier gage. The smaller the gage number, the heavier
the cord.



Servicing of a product requires extreme care and knowl-
edge of the system, and should be done only by qualified
service personnel. Replacement parts for a product must
be identical to those parts in the product



An outdoor-use extension cord should be used when

using a product outdoors.

An outdoor-use extension

cord is marked with suffix letter “W” and with a tag stat-
ing “Suitable for Use with Outdoor Appliances.”



When using an extension cord outdoors, the extension

cord should be kept dry and off the ground.



If operating a product in a damp location is unavoidable,
then the product should olny be connected to a circuit that
is protected by a ground-fault circuit-interrupter (GFCI.



Store product indoors when not in use.



Keep out of reach of children.



Do not clean this product with a water spray or the like.
Follow manufacturers cleaning instructions.



To Reduce the Risk of Electric Shock, this product has

a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).

This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the
plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it
still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install

the proper outlet. Do not change the plug in any way.



Save these instructions.

Refer to them frequently and

use them to instruct others who may use this tool. If you
loan someone this tool, loan them these instructions also.
